ANNUAL SEMINAR

BANKRUPTCY ABUSE PREVENTION AND CONSUMER PROTECTION AT OF 2005

April 21-23, 2006

The annual Seminar of the Financial Lawyers Conference will take place at The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, California, on April 21-23, 2006.  This moderator for our Seminar is Professor Robert M. Lawless.  Professor Lawless is the Gordon & Silver, Ltd., Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He has written extensively in the fields of bankruptcy and corporate law, with a special emphasis on empirical legal studies.  Prior to joining the faculty of the Boyd School of Law, Professor Lawless taught at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  In addition, he has held visiting faculty appointments at the University of Illinois, Ohio State University and Washington University in St. Louise.  Before teaching, Professor Lawless practiced with the Washington, DC, law firm of Zuckert, Scoutt & Rasenberger and clerked for the Honorable Harlington Wood, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  In the summer of 2006, Professor Lawless will be join the faculty of the University of Illnois College of Law.
