The 2007 Annual Seminar of
The Financial Lawyers Conference
April 20-22, 2007

Cutting-Edge Issues Involving Securitizations, the Financing of Accounts, Payment Intagibles and Other Rights to Payment, and Implications for Bankruptcy Law

Our Seminar Moderator will be
Professor Thomas E. Plank
Joel A. Katz Distinguished Professional of Law
University of Tennessee College of Law

Professor PLank is a nationally recognized expert on asset backed securities and has published extensively on commercial finance, securitization, and bankruptcy issues.  Before joining the UT faculty, he was a partner with Kutak Rock LLP specializing in real estate finance, commercial finance, banktruptcy, and securities, in particular serving as issuer's counsel and bankruptcy counsel in securitization transactions.  Since joining the UT faculty he has served as a consultant and an expert  witness on securitization and other bankruptcy, commercial law, and real estate issues in connection with securitizations and other complex commercial transactions.  Professor Plank will lead an in-depth discussion regarding the financing of rights to payment that we anticipate will be interesting, spirited, and at times controversial.

The seminar will be held at
Rancho Bernardo Inn
17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive
San Diego, California  92128

The luxurious Rancho Bernanrdo Inn is situated in lush surroundings just north of San Diego where guests enjoy nearly perfect weather throughout the year.  Rancho Bernardo Inn has something for each of our attendees, including Championship Golf, Tennis, Award-Winning Cuisine at El Bizcocho and Veranda, and relaxing Spa services.   Additionally, The Financial Lawyers Conference is making excellent arrangements for dining and entertainment.
