Friday Afternoon Session:

Contract, property and other issues involved
with intellectual property and related rights,
such as licenses and leases, royalties
and rental payments, distribution rights etc.

Taking an interest, consensual or 
otherwise, in intellectual property and other rights

UCC foreclosure and bankruptcy issues,
and how to apply IP to your claims

Professor Ward teaches contracts, commercial law and intellectual property at the University of Maine Law School.  In addition, Professor Ward currently serves as Co-Chair of the ABA Subsection on Intellectual Property Financing and is a Research Fellow for the Licensing Executives Society (USA and Canada).  He is also the Co-Reporter for the United States Patent and Trademark Office Study To Assess Requirements Associated with a Centralized Registry for the Recording of Security Interests in Intellectual Property.   Professor Ward’s published work, including his recent treatise, Intellectual Property in Commerce, (West Group rev. ed. 2003) covers a broad range of topics in the areas of commercial law, bankruptcy and intellectual property.
